“Success is not equal to happiness because success has some kind of shadow in it. You must seek for calmness of the mind. That is real happiness.”

Firstly, You Need a Burning Desire for Success
“To succeed in real life, firstly, you need a burning a desire to realize your dream. It is very important! You are told that you will become ‘what you think you are.’ So, a burning desire to become great, or to become rich, or to get a higher position, or to get more influence, or to serve more people… to have a sacred desire is very important.”
Just Think Only About How to Make Others Happy
“Next, is love to others. In an over-competitive society, people are apt to be self-concentrated. You must abandon that kind of thinking and put aside thinking about yourself, and just think about how to make other people happier. Just change your mind.”
The Shadow of Success and Real Happiness
“Success is not equal to happiness because success has some kind of shadow in it. When you are focused only on success, you forget something very important. For example, about your family… for example, about your peace of mind… for example, about the afterlife… it is a shadow of success. You must seek for calmness of the mind. That is real happiness. So, success and happiness is a little different. Sometimes these two are the same, but sometimes these are quite different. I recommend that you should have a calm mind in you and succeed in this world.”

“There are a lot of people in the world, on this earth. We need a lot of power. A lot of people must join in our activities, so I ask you, I need you – your help! To make the world happier than it is. So I must ask you… there needs light! Please light up the darkness of the world.”
